⭐ You are perfect for this role if you:
You are a backend engineer with experience in data engineering and infrastructure engineering.
💻 You may be working on:
- Build and refine the core logic that determines when to route queries to Snowflake, DuckDB, Trino, or ClickHouse based on cost, performance, and data freshness.
- Develop a system to expose a query engine’s logical plan and serialize a plan that represents a SQL view for consistent use in multiple systems.
- Create an automated benchmarking suite to compare query latency, throughput, and cost across supported engines on real-world workloads and data layouts.
- Develop and maintain query engine APIs to simulate and test query engine behavior under different scenarios.
- Contribute to a next-gen storage layer optimized for Iceberg tables, designed to better serve ad-hoc analytics workloads via columnar engines like DuckDB.
- Build a framework to ensure data integrity across multiple query engines.
- Scaling infrastructure on distributed systems.
